My tatting time has been taken over in the last week with a new addition to the family. No, we did not have a new baby. We got a new kitten.
My daughter named him Neko. She says that means cat in Japanese. I wanted to name him Osito, which means Little Bear in Spanish because he was born without a tail.
He is a tiny little thing, about 2 or 3 months old. That is a doll chair he is playing on, not a people chair. He was caught in a trap near a feral cat colony and put up for adoption just a few days later, so he was pretty wild when we got him, but he has adjusted nicely and is a joy to play with.
On the tatting front, I did manage to tat this flamingo.
It is designed by the great Jane Eborall and tatted in Pink Blossoms (Lizbeth) size 40. He will be framed and given to my son's teacher for an end of school year gift. She collects flamingos.
Beautiful flamingo and what a compliment. Thanks. Hope your kittie settles down well.
ReplyDeleteYour Flamingo looks real. The kitten is very sweet!
ReplyDeleteLovely kitten, what a pity he's lost his tail but I am sure he won't miss it.

ReplyDeleteI love the flamingo. There is a breed of cat who does not have a tail, I can't remember what it is but I do know that they are expensive. A kitten , watch out for all of your threads ! Lol :)
